Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of findit — the app, the business panel and the API. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1What findit is — and is not
findit is a marketplace that introduces customers to businesses. A customer posts a requirement; we route it to a limited number of matching businesses; those businesses respond with options; the customer decides who to talk to.
findit is not a party to anything you agree with the other side. We do not:
- Sell, lease, broker or hold any property or vehicle.
- Lend money, issue credit cards, or distribute insurance.
- Advise you on any financial product, or recommend one business over another.
- Take payment for, guarantee, verify or hold in escrow any transaction between you and a business.
Listings, prices, availability, rates, eligibility criteria and every other claim in a response are the responsibility of the business that sent it. Verify anything that matters — documents, title, registration, licence, terms — directly with the business and independently, before you commit money.
2Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract in India.
- Your account is your mobile number, verified by a one-time code. There are no passwords in findit.
- One number is one account. You may not create multiple accounts, use someone else's number, or let someone else use yours.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to your number secure.
- Business accounts additionally require review and approval before they can receive requirements. Approval can be refused, and a written reason is always given.
3If you post requirements
- Post requirements you genuinely have, with accurate budget, location and details.
- A requirement is sent to at most five matching businesses. If fewer than five match, fewer receive it — and sometimes none do, particularly in the beta.
- You control your contact details. Your name and number reach a business only when you tap to share them on a specific response.
- You may close a requirement at any time, and it stops matching once closed or expired.
- Content you upload must be yours to upload and must not infringe anyone's rights.
Responses are not offers you must accept, and posting a requirement does not oblige you to transact with anyone.
4If you respond to requirements
By using findit for Business you additionally agree that:
- You hold every registration, licence and authorisation your category requires, and you will maintain them. Lending, insurance distribution and real-estate agency in India are regulated activities.
- Every listing and reply describes something you can actually supply, at the price stated, with photographs of the actual property or vehicle.
- You will comply with the Community Guidelines, including the match-quality floor the platform enforces.
- You are solely responsible for your dealings with customers, and you will handle any dispute directly and in good faith.
- You will indemnify findit against claims arising from your listings, your representations, or your conduct towards a customer.
A customer's name and number are provided to you for one purpose: to discuss the requirement they shared them on. You may not add them to a marketing list, message them in bulk, contact them about anything else, transfer them to any other party including an affiliate, or retain them after the enquiry closes or consent is withdrawn. Breach ends the account immediately and permanently, and any wallet balance is forfeited.
5Fees
findit is free during the beta, for customers and businesses alike.
findit will always be free for customers. We do not charge a customer to post a requirement, to read responses, or to share their contact details, and we never ask a customer for money through the platform. Anyone who does is not us.
After the beta, businesses will pay through prepaid credits, charged when a customer chooses to reveal their contact details rather than when a lead is received. Pricing, top-up terms and refund rules will be published and notified before any charging begins. Nothing will be charged to a business account without notice and an opportunity to stop using the service.
6Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use findit for anything unlawful, or in breach of the Community Guidelines.
- Scrape, harvest, bulk-download or enumerate requirements, businesses or users, by any means.
- Access the service other than through our published apps and the API on its terms — see the API Policy.
- Probe, disrupt, overload or circumvent any security or rate-limiting control, or attempt to access data that is not yours.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the apps, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Use the findit name, wordmark or brand without written permission.
Security researchers: report a suspected vulnerability to security@getfindit.online before disclosing it. We will not pursue good-faith research that stops at demonstrating an issue and does not access, alter or retain other people's data.
7Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post — requirements, listings, photographs and text. You grant findit a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize and display that content for the purpose of operating the service, and to retain it for as long as our retention terms require.
We may remove content that breaches these terms or the guidelines. If you believe content infringes your rights, write to support@getfindit.online with enough detail to identify it.
8Availability and beta status
findit is currently a limited beta operating in Bengaluru. During the beta the service is provided as is and as available: features change, categories can be switched off, data may be reset with notice, and there is no uptime commitment. Beta data should not be treated as a system of record.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. Where a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the app.
9Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, findit is not liable for the acts, omissions, listings, representations, products or services of any business or customer on the platform, nor for any loss arising from a transaction you enter into with them.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid findit in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are unaffected.
10Suspension and termination
You can stop using findit at any time and delete your account from the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the guidelines, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law.
A suspended account sees a notice explaining the status and how to contact support. Sections that by their nature survive — content licence for retained data, liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply after termination.
11Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Before starting proceedings, contact support@getfindit.online — most disputes are a misunderstanding about what a listing said, and are settled in a day. Grievances about personal data go to the Grievance Officer.
12Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product develops — new cities, new categories, and the introduction of fees for businesses. Material changes are notified in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use findit after that means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the service and delete your account. The effective date at the top of this page is always the version in force.
